Southwest Heritage Credit Union

We want to remind you to stay vigilant against phishing sites and scams that can target your personal information. Fraudsters may try to impersonate your financial institution, such as Southwest Heritage CU, to steal your personal information. These scammers often create fake websites or send emails and text messages that look like they’re from us, asking you to click on links or provide sensitive information.
Here are a few simple tips to help protect yourself:
- Check the URL: Always ensure the website URL starts with “https” and includes the credit union’s official website.
- Look for Suspicious Emails: Be cautious of emails that ask for sensitive information, especially those with spelling mistakes or generic greetings.
- Verify Requests: If you receive an unsolicited request for personal info, contact us directly.
- Avoid Clicking Links: Don’t click on links in unsolicited emails or text messages! Our fraud team will never ask you to click a link to verify any fraudulent transaction or activity.
- No Texts or Calls Asking for Sensitive Information: We will never send you a text message asking you to click a link or call you asking for your passwords, MFA, or other sensitive information.

When in doubt, stop and call us directly! We’re here to help you stay safe and secure.
