We’re shaking things up this year to give you more chances to shred!

We’re excited to introduce Shred IT Weeks, an expanded version of our annual shredding event for SWHCU members. Each branch will have its own designated shred week, making it easier and more convenient for you to participate.
During your branch’s Shred Week, a secure shred bin will be placed in the lobby during regular lobby business hours for members to safely dispose of unwanted documents. Members may bring one box of documents per person to help ensure everyone has a chance to participate.
It’s the perfect opportunity to tackle those piles of paperwork you’ve been meaning to get rid of during your spring cleaning while keeping your personal information secure.
What You CAN Shred:
- Staples
- Paperclips
- Folders with metal tabs
- Paper (documents, files, etc.)
- Paper folders and jackets
What You CAN NOT Shred:
- Hard drives
- Binder clips
- 3-ring binders
- Trash or food items
- Batteries
- Magnets
- Cords or cables
- Plastics of any kind
- X-rays or other metal items
